Counter-Strike, A simple FPS, yet addicting....

 Counter-Strike is a tactical First-Person Shooter (FPS) developed by Valve Corporation which originated from Half-Life modification by Minh "Gooseman" Le and Jess "Cliffe" Cliffe. By the fourth beta version, Valve Software, the creator of Half-Life or should I say the developer, begin assisting in the development of Counter-Strike. In the year 2000, Valve brought the rights to Counter-Strike. As we know, the game is expanded through many series from it's original release, which currently includes Counter-Strike : Condition Zero, Counter-Strike : Source and Counter-Strike : Global Offensive. This game pits a team of Terrorist and team of Counter-Terrorist in a series of rounds. Each round is won by completing a mission given or by eliminating all the opposing team members.

 According to GameSpy in 2008, this game was the most played Half-Life modification in terms of players. As of Auguts 2011, the Counter-Strike franchise has sold over 27 million units.


GAMEPLAY

 Counter-Strike is a tactical and simple First-Person Shooter. You can either be a Terrorist or Counter-Terrorist, or simply by watching other people play by choosing to become a Spectator (Love mocking people while in this mode). In some cases, you can either decide whether to play with bots/A.I or simply create a room and let your friends join in and play all the way, or you can join other peoples room (Sometimes they might kick you. This might due that you are too awesome for them or beign extremely noob).

 Did I really mention mission? Well, yes I did. It depends on what side you are and what map you are in. Because certain maps required Counter-Terrorist to save hostages or protect bombsites. While for Terrorist, certain maps require them to hold and defend the hostages from beign rescued or plant a bomb into a bombsite (Usually devided into 2 sections. Section A and Section B). Or if you really lazy to do required mission to win a round, you can simply find your enemy, and eliminate them all to win the round. But, certain players have different opinions and ideas for the team tactics. So, teamwork is also important. It is better if you and your friends use voice talk instead of pressing "Y" to send messages visible to all, which means opposing team can see your message or pressing "T" to chat with your ally. It's troublesome... You don't wanna stand there like dumb while typing in your tactics would you? You'll be an easy target...

 It's fun to play Counter-Strike with your friends or other people all over the world. And it is even more easier to play with other people around the world with the existence of Garena. It is just like one click away. (Other people might kick your from their room. Mostly due to your internet condition. Or otherwise. You know what I mean. Been through that experience before. =.=)
